The 2020 Census will be different as the U.S. Census Bureau will not be sending out census questionnaires on the initial mailing as done in the past. Instead, the Census Bureau will mail a code to each household in March 2020 directing the head of household to complete the questionnaire online, and offer information about other methods of responding. The questionnaire will consist of ten questions about each household member including name, age, race and more. Depending on when you respond, your household could receive up to five mailings encouraging you to participate.

Online: For the first time in history, you can complete the census online. To complete the survey digitally, go to the website listed on the census information you receive in mail, answer the questions and hit submit.

By Phone: You can also call the toll-free number on the notification mailed to each household in March 2020 and respond by phone. A census representative will ask you the survey questions and enter your information into the database.

By Mail:  When responding by mail, fill out the form with a blue or black pen or a #2 pencil, then mail it back in the pre-paid return
