Welcome to Crawford Country!

A visit to Crawford Country in the North Fork Valley of western Colorado is like no other place on earth! Dubbed the "Golden Triangle" by Forbes Magazine online, the North Fork Valley is rural, pristine high altitude beauty. Resting at 6,800 feet in elevation, Crawford Country is home to the North Rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, the Crawford State Park, historic Needlerock, and the West Elk Wilderness.

Located in the western Rocky Mountains with serenity and privacy, Crawford is in convenient proximity to Grand Junction (75 miles west) and Montrose (70 miles south). Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley are approximately 100 miles to the east, and Crested Butte, in Gunnison County, is a scenic drive of about 100 miles to the southeast.

Though small (population is less than 1,000), Crawford Country offers a bounty of Colorado blue skies and crisp, clean air! With small and friendly motels, lodges, cabins, restaurants, convenience stores and many other amenities, you will likely find something that appeals to you!

The Crawford Area Chamber of Commerce, consisting of local area companies, businesses and individuals, is committed to providing quality programs for all of our members and to the Crawford community. Businesses throughout the Crawford area have joined the Chamber as a means to be more involved in community affairs and policies.
